Yuriko Tiger was born in Savona, Italy on July 5th 1993. She grew up in Imperia and right now she lives in Tokyo, Japan. She currently works as an actress, talent, Idol, model and cosplayer.
Early life and Career
As a child, Yuriko often watched anime; this inspired her initial interest in cosplaying. While attending the Accademia delle Belle Arti, she started working at her father’s bakery to save money and move to Tokyo, Japan. She was also one of the first students of the Manga Summer School, from 2005 to 2008, and studied as a make-up artist.
Yuriko Tiger made her debut as an idol in 2014 and, while her career was short, only lasting to 2015, she released her hit single Yuri Yuri Kakumei, which can be found in both DAM Karaoke and iTunes Store Japan. At first, Yuriko’s dream was to become an Idol however, after sometime, her agency decided to promote her as a talent (TV/Internet Personality) instead, due to her strong and enticing personality.
At the start of 2016, Yuriko took a break from her job in Tokyo and spent a total of 4 months in Italy, working at numerous conventions as a guest and host.
In the summer of 2016 Yuriko moved back to Tokyo to work as one of the official cosplayers of Harley Quinn for the promotion of Suicide Squad (Warner Bros. Pictures) on the red carpet, start her own radio program called Cool Japan, host numerous events for the promotion of Tekken 7 all around Japan, model for the promotional campaign of the theme park J-World (Bandai Namco Entertainment) and host live performances on her Nico Nico Douga Channel, sponsored by Kadogawa Games.
In 2017 she took part in the promotion of Justice League as Wonder Woman on the red carpet and she released a single in collaboration with Samurai Apartment, Haruka, under the name of Samurai Tiger (Samurai Apartment Love’s Yuriko Tiger), also available on iTunes Store. Yuriko worked again as a model for SwallowTail, a company that produces wigs and colored contact lenses. Yuriko was also the first cosplayer to ever take part in a drama (TV show); Yuriko was a guest in an episode of a drama named Prison Hotel (BS Japan).
In 2018, Yuriko worked as a cosplayer for the promotion of the new series of FLCL and the game Soul Calibur VI, cosplaying respectively as Haruko Haruhara and Ivy Valentine, both in Tokyo and Osaka. Yuriko was also the special cosplay guest at Otakuthon (Montreal – Canada) and Lucca Comics & Games (Lucca – Italy).
In 2019, Yuriko worked overseas as a special guest at IberAnime, a famous convention in Lisbon, Portugal. In the same year, Yuriko Tiger worked as a model for the promotion of Beyond the Moon, a fashion brand by Kaguya Luna, a Virtual YouTuber. In 2020 she worked as a model for the brand HellCatPunks and was part of the promotion, both on TV and on advertising boards around Tokyo, of the famous app Tinder.
